New year…
New life…
New status…
New hairstyle…
New me

2009 has been a life-changing year for me. It has been somewhat tumultuous in a beautiful sense. Things in my life happened suddenly, unexpectedly, sadly, and wonderfully. Unlike recent years, I have much to look forward to in 2010 and beyond, and I can’t wait what the months ahead will bring.

As far as my pregnancy goes, I’ve just entered my 17th week. SEVENFUCKINGTEEN! My body is ever changing… The belly bulge I’ve been dreading the past few weeks (because it looked more like I ate a whole box of donuts) is now shaping more like a preggo belly. I bought few maternity clothes, 2-up sized bras (my pups are gaining size!), and another belly band within the past couple weeks. The salesgirl at Motherhood treated me like royalty: “I will set up your room, whenever you’re ready!” That’s the way it SHOULD be in any retail clothing store, whether pregnant or not, dammit!!

Still lucky with no morning sickness, but I am definitely feeling more and more pregnant by the week, along with a few symptoms I still have from my first trimester. With that, I have been religiously applying Bio-Oil and/or Palmer’s Cocoa Butter lotion on my belly to prevent stretch marks for the months to come while my tummy continues to grow. Yes, I know stretch marks are genetic or unavoidable, but screw it… I’ll do whatever it takes to at least prevent some stretch marks! But on more exciting news, in exactly 3 weeks from now I will know whether Gummy is a boy or a girl… The wait is so tormenting!!

It’s Your Decision

Anyone who knows me will know that Alice in Chains was and will always be one my favorite bands, and biggest musical influences. What is not to like? Layne Staley’s vocals, Jerry Cantrell’s wonderful guitar work and songwriting, and the bands sludgy/haunting/melodic tunes. They have been one of those bands that made me think “Damn, why didn’t I think to write a song like that?!”

Meet the newest member of my geektronic gadgetry… My new netbook! It’s a birthday gift given to my nerdy self. Ain’t she a cutie? :-D

Sitting pretty beside my 22″ monitor. And my netbook couldn’t be
complete without the same photo of my hot future hubby, Ville.

More mobility means I can BS on the net while watching
100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs on VH1. ;)

Oh yeah… Happy 2009 and hello club dirty 30.

So I went to see the apartment 2 days ago. Although I was happy to see it exactly as it was described (“spacious! fully renovated!!”), I was unhappy with the odd layout… And the fact that it was a semi-basement, which they’ve “forgotten” to mention. I wasn’t feeling a friendly vibe from the owner either (guess I should’ve worn a long sleeve shirt to cover my tats or something…). The neighborhood itself is super lovely though. But I had to pass it up in hopes of better luck with another place I’m going to see in about 2 weeks.

I DO need a place that leaves a lot of room for my interior decorating. I’ve been window shopping for furniture and decorative nonsense for a place I don’t even have yet lol! The look I’m going for? Something I’d like to call Neo-Romantic… Which is just my fancy word for goth/medieval-inspired. :) Funny thing is I don’t dress like some Emo Goth… Never really had… Well, maybe for that one month when I was 16 and obsessed with Trent Reznor and Robert Smith. :-D But anyhow, that is the idea I’m going for, and then I stumbled upon this:

Yeah, I realize the color is too severe and monochromatic… But ain’t that lovely?! Damask wallpaper and a chandelier… AND a single tub in the bedroom as shown in the photo?? HOT! *That will NEVER happen* I’ve added ridiculous items on my Kaboodle wishlist.

But first thing’s first… Need to find a place!
